Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has recently launched Sujalam 2.0 campaign for greywater management. Waste water from non-toilet plumbing systems is greywater. The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Groundwater: making the invisible visible’. Under this campaign, the government will mobilize communities, panchayats, schools for greywater management.

Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully test-fired surface-to-surface BrahMos supersonic cruise missile in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This Missile missile destroyed its target with accuracy.
3. Which country is the host of the ‘BIMSTEC Summit’ in 2022?
Answer – Sri Lanka
The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) summit will be hosted by Sri Lanka. It is proposed to sign the BIMSTEC Charter and the BIMSTEC Master Plan for Transport Connectivity during this summit. BIMSTEC was established in 1997 and consists of seven member countries Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand.
4. Which Indian state / union territory implements the ‘Mukhyamantri Park Beautification Scheme’?

Chief Minister Park Beautification Scheme is a scheme being implemented by the Delhi Government. As part of the plan, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has directed officials to convert 17 city forests into ‘world-class’ forests in an area of about 3000 acres in the national capital.
5. Who has been awarded the ‘Abel Prize 2022’?
Answer – Dennis Parnell Sullivan
The Abel Prize for the year 2022 has been awarded to Professor Dennis Parnell Sullivan. This award is presented annually to outstanding mathematicians. The award was established in 2002 by the Norwegian government, and is managed by The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. Professor Sullivan has been awarded the award “for his contributions to topology”.
