I was just 2 years old when my parents shifted to Noida. Noida is a planned city that forms a part of the National Capital Region of India. The city came into existence on 17th April 1976 and since the day every year this day is celebrated as Noida Day.

I am living in Noida from last 12 years. I still remember our old house where I spent 3 years of my life. Although I was very young at that time, I still have fond memories of my friends who lived in our neighbourhood.
We first stayed in rented accommodation for 3 years and then moved to our own flat in an all society which had all modern facilities. My school is just 3 km away from my home and my parents’ office is also close by.
Noida is known for its large malls and shopping complexes. People from Delhi and other parts of NCR especially visit these malls to spend quality time with their family and friends. I have visited all these malls and enjoyed the fun time spent here. We used to go to these malls to watch movies, play games and have family dinners. Since last few months my parents have started allowing me to go to mall with friends though they pick me up from my house and drop me here. A visit to these malls is extremely exciting. I especially love playing different games like bowling and air hockey at these malls.
Noida Foodies Delight
Noida is definitely a foodie’s delight. Noida is a hotbed of delicious street food because of the many offices and educational institutions in the vicinity. All kinds of food items, from Lucknowi Kebabs to Chinese Momos – everything available here is very tasty.
My city is one of the most exciting cities in the country. Everything is so much fun here. I want the government here to strengthen women’s safety as well.

I was born in Lucknow city. This is where my family and extended family live. We lived in a joint family. I lived with my parents and grandparents. My earliest memories of Lucknow relate to weekend trips to my grandparents, their stories, the streets of Lucknow and the nearby markets. I remember going out with Grandpa in the morning where he used to tell about his childhood experiences. I still remember the freshness of the Bougainvillea plant that was planted in our backyard. I still remember visiting the beautiful white marble temple in the evening with my grandmother. I can still smell the freshly prepared kebab parmesan at the street shop in our neighbourhood. The memory of weekend trips to the market with my parents is still fresh in my mind. We went shopping and had dinner together. We had so much fun doing it.
My favorite place in Lucknow
Lucknow is known for its markets, its sumptuous food and beautiful monuments. My favorite places in Lucknow are Imam Bara, Marine Drive, Hazrat Ganj Bazaar and Bhootnath Bazaar. I have a lot of memories of these places in my mind.
I have visited Imam Bara many times. The first time I went to this place with my parents was when I was very young. A few years later I visited this place as part of my school trip. We also went to the place when my maternal uncle and my brother came to visit us. I go to Imam Bara time and again and still am not bored with it.
We often went to Marine Drive in the evenings. The walk along the river was very enjoyable. I loved shopping with my mother at Bhootnath and Hazrat Ganj Bazaar. We both shop with love and used to buy a variety of things which was really amazing.
I can’t wait for the Nawabs to return to the city. I am craving for delicious Kebabs and Korma from Lucknow. I want to visit all my favorite places in the city and meet my old friends.

Chandigarh is the first planned city of India. It originated after independence. During the partition of India, Punjab was divided into two parts. Lahore, the capital of Punjab, was made a part of newly formed Pakistan, leaving no capital near the other part of the state. Chandigarh was planned with the aim of giving the capital to Punjab. A new state was carved out of East Punjab in 1966. It came to be known as Haryana. The city of Chandigarh serves as the capital of Punjab and Haryana.

Chandigarh is known to be a well-planned city. It is appreciated all over the world for its design and architecture. Since it was the dream city of the then Indian Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. American architect Albert Mayer was specifically asked to design it. The popular French architect Le Corbusier designed various buildings and contributed to the architecture of the city. The city is divided into different areas and each area has its own market and residential area. The city has a variety of beautiful trees planted well together.
The main attraction of Chandigarh is Sukhna Lake which is an artificial lake built in Sector 1. It was formed in 1958 and has been one of the most popular places in the city ever since.

You will not find any garbage in this city as garbage is seen in other parts of the country. The traffic police in the city is extremely alert. No one can dare to break the traffic rules here. Discipline is maintained at each level. People live here in peace and harmony.

My favorite spot in the city is definitely Sukhna Lake. This place is worth visiting during the day. The atmosphere in the morning is completely different in the evening. In the morning the place is filled with calm and fresh air. It is the best place to relax and play. In the evening there is a huge crowd of people enjoying boat rides and having breakfast. Electronic swings have also been installed for children. This place fills up with the hustle and bustle of people in the evening. It is a good place to go out with friends and colleagues. I can visit this place early in the morning and in the evening. I love when this place is quiet and when it is full of people.
Chandigarh is not only my city but it is also my lifeline. I want to spend the rest of my life here. I don’t think I will be able to live life so happily and peacefully in any other city.

The history of Delhi dates back to the 12th century. It is known as one of the oldest inhabited cities not only in India but across the world. Delhi has been ruled by many powerful kings including Ibrahim Lodi, Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur, Sher Shah Suri, Prithvi Raj Chauhan, Qulab-ud-din Aybak, Jalal-ud-din Firoz Khilji, Shah Alam Bahadur Shah I and Akbar Shah II. The city was ransacked and rebuilt several times by different emperors.
It is believed that Pandavas also lived in this part of the country. The city of Delhi was known as Indraprastha during that era. The old fort is said to have been constructed during that time.

- Humayun’s Tomb
It is said that Humayun’s Tomb is a replica of the wonderful Taj Mahal. It is made of red sandstone and white marble. The tomb is an example of the Persian style of Islamic architecture. The tomb is 47 meters high and 91 meters wide and is surrounded by a beautiful Persian-style garden.
- Lotus Temple
As the name suggests, this temple is built in the shape of a lotus. It has 27 petals made of white marble. It has nine doors that open into the main hall. It has a capacity to accommodate 2500 people at a time. This magnificent building is very big.

Akshar Dhar Temple is a place of devotion and purity. This is the latest in the list of monuments in Delhi. It was opened to the public in the year 2005. Apart from beautifully carved temples and other wonderful buildings, the Akshardham complex comprises of lush green gardens and water bodies.
I have been to all these places and want to visit them again and again. I have beautiful memories of these places.

I love visiting different markets which not only give me an opportunity to buy good stuff but also give me a chance to enjoy street food. I can’t even imagine living anywhere other than Delhi.
