Sadbhavana Diwas 2021
Sadbhavna Diwas 2021 (77th anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi) will be celebrated across India on Friday, August 20.
Sadbhavna (having good thoughts for others) or Samarsata Diwas is celebrated to remember the anniversary of the former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. The only mission of the Rajiv Gandhi government was to have good feelings for others.
To promote community harmony, national unity, peace, love and attachment among all the religions of India, it is celebrated every year on 20 August by the Congress party by cutting a cake. In the year 2008, it was celebrated on 20 August in a rally organized by NSS volunteers of COBS unit in the university premises.

Veer Bhoomi Memorial of Rajiv Gandhi is respected by the people. Tributes are paid to the statue of Rajiv Gandhi by wreaths at Virbhoomi (cremation site). This day is celebrated to fulfill his passion for national progress.
On his 69th birthday, a Sadbhavna Cycle Rally was organized in Bhubaneswar under the leadership of Loknath Maharathi which started from the Congress Bhawan in the old city from Mausima Mandir to Master Canteen Square (Vanivihar, Rasulgarh and Kalpana Chowk). Student rallies were organized in many schools in India on this occasion.
